ABOUT ME
I’ve always been active, but it wasn’t until my late 20s that I discovered my love for lifting. That passion led me to personal training, where I’ve spent the last seven years helping people unlock their strength. Six years ago, I co-founded Get Bent Training in Oakland with my partner. As a Black and Pinay woman, owning a business in my hometown means so much to me, especially a gym where strength, empathy, and empowerment come together. We’ve created a space where even those who never saw themselves as lifters can tap into their potential. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients—from teenagers to pregnant individuals to people in their 30s just starting out and those in their 70s pushing new limits. My mission has always been to build a strong, inclusive community where everyone can explore what their bodies are truly capable of.

Pela and I have known each other for a little bit now and despite us not working together much, her handling of me at my powerlifting meet was amazing.
